EDIT: Be sure to see my other violin video of Smash Bros Brawl music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1mKrP...(Please don't ask for the notes. I learnt this by ear.) This is a video of me playing my violin along with a trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess. When I tried out for work experience at Nintendo, I gave them this video.EDIT: and yes, I did get work experience with Nintendo, which I am doing in September.EDIT: Well, I did my work experience last september and it was great fun! Thanks for all the positive feedback I have been getting. Soon I will do a similar video, but with music from the Smash Bros Dojo updates.

Ed Alleyne-Johnson Busking Electric Violin in Chester UK - May 2006Fantastic - This is perhaps the best street performance I have ever witnessed. Reminiscent of Jean Luc Ponte's visceral fusion sound. This is in the city of Chester near Wales. Chester has perhaps the only double decker shopping plaza streets, with a second level up off the street within the buildings, balconies running all the way down the streets. jablesj comments - "They were made by the victorians so that rich people would not get wet while out in the rain." The sound is unaltered from the original and was emancipated at great volume in this old town.Ed uses the looper and pedals to great effect. There are no overdubs. Incredible he commanded this fantastic show all by himself, I stood enraptured with all the hair on my body standing on end, grin stretched wide. You can see where he looked up to see my ebullient smile just before he grins and kicks in the distortion. This has been a tremendous inspiration for me. I had never heard him or heard of him before this performance. Ed is awesome! I got some albums of his from the web since hearing this. I hope I can see him again one day.

*Please subscribe!*The music in this video is something I came up with earlier today, and I wanted to record it before I forgot it. It's kind of growing on me, and I'm thinking about developing it further so I can put it on my upcoming album.Speaking of the album, I've been working on new music to put on the project. As soon as pre-production ends in January, the real recording will begin. I hope to have everything mixed and mastered by April, which means I better be smart about what I do with my time!I know the music in this video isn't anything like the music from my previous video, but don't worry: the album will have plenty of hip hop on it. ;)Oh yeah, the new site is coming in January. *Please subscribe to see more videos like this*My good friend Alex was in town this week from New York City, and I thought it would be fun if we made a quick video that covered the basic differences between the viola and the violin. Although the violin is a beautiful instrument, you just can't the kind of robust tone from a violin that you would from a viola. I hope to get a viola for myself one day! Also, I'll have an video update on my album recording next week. Stay tuned. :)

Thanks for sending them, and keep sending more! When I open my email inbox, however, there's one question that I see over and over again: "When is the album coming out?"Due to my touring schedule, the album release has been slightly delayed. Believe me, I really want this album done, but it has to be done right. Out of respect for you, the listener, I want to make sure that I put my best work forward. Please be patient, because I promise it'll be worth the wait.Significant progress is being made on the project, however. This week, we finished pre-production and are now in rehearsals. It's been a while since I've posted an entry, and I'm happy to finally have a new video to share (especially considering that my last entry wasn't the most cheerful). This week's video documents my recent trip to New York City. I was in town for several meetings, rehearsals, a recording session, and a show with DJ Johnny Juice at Pace University. I was also lucky to be invited to appear on Rocketboom, one of my favorite online shows. Not only that, I was able to find a little time to catch up with good friends and family. All in all, it was a very exciting week!Speaking of exciting, Inka and I will be performing at Playboy's "Rock the Rabbit" Spring Break Festival this coming weekend. I'll be taking my camera with me, so check for that video soon! Also, I am thinking of playing a live concert online sometime soon with my guitarist Ken Belcher (most likely via ustream). As soon as I figure out all the technical aspects to make that happen, I'll be sure to post all the details. (If any of you have experience broadcasting live musical performances online, please send me an email or leave me a comment!)Sorry that this entry is written so haphazardly. I'm in a rush to get several writing projects done before I leave town this weekend. Hopefully, I won't be as rushed next week! :)
