The guys at Skatepark of Austin had a dream: Build a huge skateboard, give it wings, ride it off the 30-foot ramp at Flugtag Texas, and dominate the competition. They succeeded, albeit painfully. WOW! This is a pretty cool video of a 777 & 747 SP landing in a cross winds down in Brazil. This little item shows the Boeing factory determining the demonstrated crosswind landing limits on the 777 and the 747SP. The engineers make educated guesses, but then the test crews have to go actually prove the numbers. They sneak off to Brazil to do these tests at a certain remote BAF airbase famous for its continual atrocious crosswinds...Should the gear sideloads be excessive and fold one up, there is nobody there to take nasty pix for the Airbus guys to wave around in the press.This is some good piloting in getting these planes down. It comes close to "incredible".... tire change anybody????If you haven't seen these it's pretty amazing to watch planes of this size crab walking in on a landing. I can hear the whole crew and the pilot just yelling "Yeehaaaa" at the top of their lungs.Note the rudder action on landing.PS: I suspect that the pilot and co pilot are wearing Depends.

Extreme landing or approach. Crash. Left wing touched the runway. Crazy. Hard and dangerous. Funny landing. Storm Emma 2008 in Germany (Hamburg EDDH). After the landing the left wing was destroyed. Severe cross wind conditions, the aircraft was caught by a gust lifting its right wing up causing its left wingtip to strike the runway.
