Your Daily Politics Video Blog: TPMtv caught up with Robert Reich, former labor secretary and UC Berkeley professor. He gives us his take on the stimulus package ("Pretty good... Maybe not an A but an A minus") and talks about how the financial crisis has to be taken as an opportunity to do more than simply get us back on the old track: "That track is filled with potholes and it's going to eventually be so slippery we fall off the cliff again."

Your Daily Politics Blog: In the second part of my interview with economist Dean Baker, we talk about the fact that a significant portion of the banking industry is already insolvent and that a much larger portion will be broke before the end of the year. Any discussion of nationalization -- or any denial that we're nationalizing the banks -- needs to start with the premise that if you're not going to let the banks declare bankruptcy then you're nationalizing them at some level. Who takes the bigger hit: taxpayers or shareholders? It depends on how you do it. Dean Baker explains.

Your Daily Politics Blog: Tired of the dumbed-down public debate about the stimulus package? Progressive economist Dean Baker offers a bracing take on the underlying housing bubble, why the stimulus package is a good start but not enough to kick start the economy, and why things are likely to get worse before they get better.

http://ekbtv.blogspot.com/http://mogulus.com/ekbtvHave you been diagnosed with panic disorder and are wondering how your doctor came to that conclusion? Or maybe you haven't talked to a health professional yet, but you are sure what you're experiencing is a panic attack. Or perhaps you know someone with panic disorder and you'd like to learn more about it.Learning the basics of panic disorder can help you better understand the condition and those who have panic disorder:Panic Disorder is an Anxiety DisorderPanic disorder is one of several anxiety disorders. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), anxiety disorders are the most common of all psychiatric disorders. In the United States alone, 40 million people suffer from anxiety disorders.Sponsored LinksPanic Treatment CenterSpecializing in Treatment of Women. Safe Environment. Contact Us Today.www.HollywoodPavilion.comPanic Attack TreatmentUnique Micro-device treats and Prevents symptoms in any situationwww.mad-1.comPanic Attacks in WomenYour anxiety may be hormonal. Take our online assessment to learn morewww.womentowomen.comThe other anxiety disorders are: * agoraphobia * generalized anxiety disorder * social anxiety disorder * obsessive-compulsive disorder * post-traumatic stress disorder * specific phobias Symptoms of Panic DisorderPanic disorder is marked by recurrent, spontaneous panic attacks. A panic attack is an intense period of fear or discomfort. During the attack, a person may experience several uncomfortable symptoms. See What Are the Symptoms of Panic Disorder? for a complete list.To be a diagnosed panic attack, four or more symptoms should be present. Otherwise, the attack is described as a "limited symptom attack." Those who experience panic attacks usually describe them as occurring "out of the blue."Diagnosing Panic DisorderOne panic attack does not result in a diagnosis of panic disorder. In fact, many people experience a panic attack at some time in their lives. While the experience may be a bit disconcerting, it doesn't result in panic disorder. To become panic disorder, the initial panic attack will be followed by at least a month of one or more of the following: * Constant worry about having another panic attack * Constant worry about the cause of the attack (ex: heart attack) * Major behavioral change related to the panic attack In addition, it should be determined that the panic attacks are not the result of: * A substance (drug abuse, medication) * A physiological condition (such as hyperthyroidism) * Another psychiatric disorder (particularly other anxiety disorders) In other words, it's important to have a complete physical to rule out all possible causes, and it's important to find a mental health provider who specializes in anxiety disorders to rule out other possible diagnoses. The Importance of Panic Disorder TreatmentMany researchers believe panic disorder to be a chronic condition. Indeed, for many, the severity of panic disorder seems to fluctuate over time. The chronic nature of panic disorder emphasizes the need for early and appropriate treatment. The NIMH notes that a combination of medication and cognitive behavioral therapy works the best for the most people. Individual needs, however, vary, so the person with panic disorder and the treatment provider should be willing to keep trying different approaches until the most effective treatment is found. If untreated, panic disorder often becomes more and more disabling. The initial panic attack is followed by chronic worry and, usually, more attacks. Many people begin to avoid places and situations where they've had panic attacks. This can lead to another disabling condition called agoraphobia. As their lives become more limited, some people become depressed. Others turn to alcohol or drugs to self-medicate and ease the symptoms. Relationships and jobs may be severely affected. These terrible possibilities may be avoided, however, with quick and proper treatment.Self-Diagnosis of Panic DisorderSelf-diagnosis may help you talk more clearly about your problems with your treatment provider. Sometimes it's difficult to put those intense symptoms into words. Reading about panic disorder may help. On the other hand, self-diagnosis should not be a substitute for professional diagnosis. As mentioned above, panic attacks may indicate physiological problems. And panic attacks may also appear with other anxiety disorders. It is important to discuss your concerns with a professional and to have all possible problems ruled out first.

This may look familiar to some of you... I thought that holographic television video I made sucked quite a bit, so I decided to re-make it!This time around, I made the screens a lot more easy to see, added some dynamic interactivity between the screens (although you can't see it because of YouTube's compression/quality loss) and I added more interactivity between me and the screens. The video I opened up is a bit of an easter egg... It was a lightsaber duel my friend Ryan and I made at the start of the year. Unfortunately, it never made it onto YouTube because it sucked to badly. If anyone is interested, we're planning to remake it some time next year! Please note, nobody is allowed to comment that the only programs on the desktop are iTunes, MS Paint and Quicktime, and they aren't aligned properly. This is because of my lack of acting skill =) (other vfx artists may understand why)I'd also like to point out that the screens look way too saturated on YouTube (yes, also because of the compression/quality loss). The high definition version blends a lot better with the footage and therefore looks heaps more realistic. If I get enough requests, I'll upload the high quality version for your viewing pleasure =)The song is called Numb/Encore by Linkin Park and Jay-Z.

The develop of "holo tv" is in process for more than a decade now.It can display 3D pictures and the inventor Tibor Balogh(Hungarian) thinks one day it will be the future's television.Peugeot and Reanult are already interested in the product.Traditional monitors have to display much less data so the biggest problems of Holo TV are the low bandwith and lack of strong hardvers. The smaller 4:3 monitor displays 7,4 megapixels, the 16:9 monitor can display 9,8 megapixels, the biggest holographic machine is able to display 50,3 megapixels. It is more easier to meet the requirements of a 1280x1024 monitor too, because in this case we can only talk about 1,3 megapixel.

Together with the Gamma Press (Naudet) footage of the attack to WTC1 we can see a fragment of the infamous PAX-TV (which had a close-up at KTLA) where we see a wing "missing" from the holo - "plane" then the hiper fast "birds" while a survivor is talking on 12-SEP-2001.As when FOX aired it, no credits are given to the supposed "filmmaker" PAX-TV in the CNN stored footage, contrary to how CNN aired it on 9/11.It is to be noticed that CNN altered/enhanced the audio of the "Gamma Press" shot with special audio effects to increase the PsyOps impact of it. Shame on the perpetrators that deceived the world and America with a "carefully planned" self-attack, shame on Cheney and on Bush, their "legacies" are trash and are dung!

This entry for NewScientist proves that squirrels don't smell nuts. A squirrel's memory is phenomenal. If you try this experiment at home it is important to distinguish between different squirrels. In this experiment there were three of them. All three squirrels exhibited the same memory traits: They always returned to the same position. Collectively they made over 300 separate trips and seemed to work as a team to systematically clear the hoard of nuts. Here is a link to NewScientist's Channel on Youtube, I highly recommend their channel:http://uk.youtube.com/profile?user=ne...I would love to be able to delve deeper into animal science at dawn/dusk but my camcorder is limited to bright sunny days, I don't expect to win the competition so I'll keep saving for a better quality video camera.Burrying nuts, never more than one or two per cache, leaves the squirrel with food stashed in thousands of different sites. The squirrel therefore ensures it will not loose everything in a single theft, but it must pay the price by having to remember where all those nuts were cached.

ANCHOR:And in India this weekend, serious irony occured as two men, one famous for ear hairSTORY:It's been a long time coming for northern India's Radhakant Bajpai. Long thought of as 'unusual' for his long ear hair, his recent induction into the Guinness Book of World Records has made him a hit with family, friends, and co-workers.Five years ago, Bajpai's 13.2 centimeter long tufts were enough to overtake the previous record holder, B.D. Tyagi, also of India. That was then, but in the five years that followed Bajpai's ear hair kept growing, and is now over two feet long. But it hasn't as easy as watching grass grow. Bajpai spoke of getting weird looks and being misunderstood by the general public.[Radhakant Bajpai, Longest Ear Tufts]:"The government is not providing any assistance and society is also apathetic. People consider sporting long hair on ears to be an act of foolishness..."Bajpai's son Satyam also spoke of what it was like to be seen in public with his dad. Like the time they went to the college admissions office...[Satyam Bajpai, Son of Radhakant]:"I have never felt that ear tufts are odd because I am used to seeing them. Once I had gone to gain admission in college along with my father, people were staring, and then I realized that it was something unusual."Also in northern India, a hairdresser in India's northern Uttar Pradesh is trying to make his mark on the Guinness book. He's trying to create a new record for the longest time of non-stop haircutting with his mouth. It was apparently Sheikh's desire to stand out that inspired the attempt. But he's also got other aspirations. He says if he wins the record, he'll open a school dedicated to teaching people how to cut hair with their mouths.[Ansar Sheikh, Mouth Hairdresser]:"If I'm successful in this attempt by the grace of god then I will open a training centre in Azamgarh District to impart free hair cutting training to visually challenged and specially abled people and we will give them a certificate stating that they are trained as hair stylist."But no word yet on whether he'll teach a class on how to cut ear hair.
